This image shows Charlotte who is the protagonist that is targeted by the antagonist who is a mysterious unknown character that gets introduced to the audience, this makes them curious as to who he is and causes tension for the audience. Charlotte's character in the film is wearing casual clothing which helps the audience relate to the film.
The character that is shown in this picture is from the film scream. This character is similar to Charlotte's role in our film, this shows that both roles are conventional to a horror movie. In the film 'Scream' there is a ghost like character who is harassing the protagonist in her home. The antagonist is wearing all black and and has a weird mask covering his face which makes the audience on edge and makes them want to know what the character looks like. Something similar also happens in the Netflix original film called HUSH.
